Beatrice Marie DuChaine (1906 - 1993)

Beatrice, or Bea - as she her siblings called her, was not content to stay in northwestern PA. She decided at an early age to study nursing and in 1928 went off to train at Prospect Heights Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. She met her husband, Dr. Parkinson L. Oddy, while working as a nurse and they resided in Methuen, Mass. They had no children, but were wonderful to their many nieces and nephews. When Park retired, they decided to build a home in BelleAir Beach, Florida. Tragically, Park died before the home was completed. Bea remained in her Florida home until her passing. She is buried with Park in Westlawn Cemetery in Littleton, Massachusetts.
